1969 - 1970 studied painting in Kiel, Muthesius School, Prof. Brockmann
1970 - 1971 Academy of Fine Arts Munich with Prof. Fruhtrunk
1971 - 1974 Academy of Fine Arts, Berlin, Prof. Bachmann
After graduating from college, work with various media,
including photo and slide series, photo trick film.
From 1979 again occupation with brush and paint, renewed airbrush studies, among other things.
Preference for symbolism and surrealism.
Wanted and unwanted, the tarot now became her world ... and her vocation. She went and goes the much-cited "way of the artist".
After stations in Ticino and in Upper Bavaria (where the old village school of Michael Ende was her domicile) she has been living in Berlin again for years.
Currents of art and contemporary spirituality are reflected in the images as well as the traditional structure of the 78 symbol cards.
In 2001 the Margarete Petersen Deck was complete.
